Can't offset curb in surface

Hi guys,

I have some issues when I add a curb profile, as you will see in the attached photo. 

 

This curb was made with railing.

First I insert it in a base view and then I change the host and make an offset so that the curb followes the surface.

When I add another profile and try to make an offset it shows an error and says you can't create railing.

Any ideas?

Is that a Floor the curb is following in your screenshot? What about using a Floor Slab Edge, instead of Railing, to model your curbs?  

...or do you mean "Surface" as in Toposurface?  In other words, you are hosting Railing to a Toposurface.
