Can't locate drawing/revit file

I saved drawing file I was working on last night several times before I closed program. But I can't locate it now. I see the file name on open project and when I double click on it, a pop up says file not found. Please help.

So you did a Windows search of your internal and external hard drives and can't locate it.  Sounds like you deleted it. Did you find any backups when you searched (e.g. same file name followed by a dot and 3 numbers)?

Are you working on a network server? It could someone deleted or relocated the files. Thanks

After I searched, the only file I can find was a short cut file. even though it show size but still can't open. I didn't do the three number you wrote here. what number should I use?

you can use any number behind better  the latest one or share your file here so we can check. thanks

Open the one with the most recent date.  It's probably the one with the highest number.

Try to find the backup files and search in the TEMP folder.

if you click the file you will be able to see the history of documents you open? if you are working with network server maybe someone accidentally deleted or relocated the file? thanks
