Hello Guys i am attempting to create some muti level stairs with bad results the first flight has strange first tread. Also i tried using the autolanding tool  i cant seem to edit the railings so they don't go over the mouth of the stairs.any help??

Hello @roscopeco2000

Railing issue will be solved if you select your railing and (pick a new host ) and select the stair which you want to fit your railing on as shown in screenshotUntitled.pngs.pngdw.png

I would draw the railing by picking host, the delete one half it.  Repeat and delete the other half.

Also - when you sketch for the railing - don't sketch - pick the lines instead.

Ok but can I do this for multiple stair cases, the problem is I create a stair case and one landing, but when I come to add a extra staircase the railing is then wrong. Should I be drawing all landings and all stair cases then draw railings in one go? This way it would all be connected up nice?

Normally you just need to do it right for one stair then it will repeat for all of them and they are still right.  Can you share the file?

Which version of Revit are you in? 2018 gives great tools for multistoried stairs.

Can you share your stair so that a solution minus guesswork can be offered?

@roscopeco2000 check out the advanced Revit 2018 feature for railings and stairs at this link HERE as suggested by @Sahay_R

see attached mate , i got abit further but i had a host of problems. Strings displaying wrong on bespoke stair case, the 2 upper landings should be 1640mm apart but when i added a straight run staircase it wouldn't bridge the gap i guess due to preset riser height?? i've had a real pain with this ive only ever used the preset stairs before so going from that to this was a headache to say the least...
