Can I insert a live Revit floor plan onto titleblock?

I have a key plan which has been placed inside the title block family so that it shows up on all sheets as the key plan on the building. It is an imported CAD symbol. But when the model changes then a new version of the key plan must be uploaded to the title block family. Is there a way of inserting a live floor plan view into the title block family which stays up to date as the model changes? Essentially a live key plan on every title block.

You can create a Dynamo routine to create one view (with its template) to every sheet and place it.

Thanks for the reply. How do you get Dynamo to place it exactly into the same location (title block) on differing-sized sheets (A1L, A0P etc)?

Thats the problem. I think dynamo inserts all viewports in the same point... let me a minute to try

You can add the legend plan to its desired location on one sheet , then write the script to pull the master legend's location. Just set a "select model element" node as an input, then use the appropriate nodes to pull its location, then plug those into the "create viewport" node mentioned above.

This has two assumptions though, that the legend is on the same location on every sheet, and that the titleblocks haven't been moved. I have a script that follows this same principal for another recurring element, and it took me forever to figure out why the legend wasn't being placed correctly. Turns out the titleblock had been moved, so the legend was being placed correctly, but not in relation to the block. I wrote another script that will reset titleblocks to the correct origin. Problem solved.

But does that solution work on different-sized and oriented sheets? How do you tell dynamo to land the view right under the project north sign on an A0P but also on an A3L?

You can run the script multiple times, and filter out the different sheets based on their titleblock. For instance, place a legend on an A0P sheet, and run the script (written so it only applies to the A0P's in the project). Then do the same for your A3Ls.
