CALLOUT VIEW BUBBLE ONLY

Elementary revit user here:

My drawing consist of a plan view of a kitchen, two elevation views of the kitchen and two structural views that show the wall framing in elevation. In the plan view I would like to add two callout bubbles that will refer the reader to the two structural views. A callout views are pre-populated with the drawing which is great 99% of the time, but in this case it hinders what I am trying to draw. Therefore, I drew the structural in a drafting view instead using the detail library for structural lumber.

So, my question is this: Is there a way to make a callout view that is similar in style to the automatic Revit version to reference those to walls? The only thing I found that is close to it is "view reference". Is it sufficient?

Any advice will be greatly appreciate.

Accepted solution
Yes. Draw a fallout and tick the box Reference other view, then point to
your structural drafting view.

Are you meaning you  want the call-out to reference another view that exists in the Project, instead of creating a new View (e.g. "Reference Other View")?

I am using Revit LT. Is it perhaps why I cannot seem to find that setting?

So, I take it that callout bubbles as a reference tool cannot be used - unless you actually want to refer to the view it creates? If you want to refer to a drafting view, you use the "view reference" in sheet composition?  So, it is not like autocad where you can manually place it and change the information contained in the bubbles?

No.  A fallout can be used to create a live (usually enlarged) view from the main view.  It can also be used to referenced any other view (most commonly used for referencing drafting views).  The information such as detail number and sheet number of the bubble will be filled automatically when the referenced view is placed on a sheet.

View Reference can be used when you need to show the view/sheet infirmation but no fallout boundary or section line, elevation mark.  View references are commonly used with match lines, or annotation such as "See this so and so detail for more information"

Thanks. I will see if I can figure it out. Now that I know it IS possible, it is simply a question of playing around I guess.

I have attached two images. The first shows the usual way I have been using drafting views. The second shows (circled in red) the new way I have just learnt from here, but there is still no bubble that shows the drawing number or page number.

I am still at a loss.
