CAD trees into revit

Hi everyone,

I have a tree survey CAD file with the diameter (inches) and the specie of tree on it and am trying to add the right model tree type to match the CAD. My problem is Revit has specific tree species and the overall height of the tree in the model family I have.

If anyone can help out with this I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Here is a screenshot showing my dilemma.

Revit allows you to size trees by height rather than trunk diameter. You would have to find a growth chart for the species and see how height relates to diameter. For example the 26" Oak listed on your image would probably be 35'-45' tall.

loboarch, thank you for your response. Is there anywhere online that would have that information about the tree species or do I have to ask a specific specialist?

I just used Google and found some decent stuff. Probably close enough (at least in my experience working on site plans/surveys.)
