CAD links multiplying by itself

Hi guys,

would really appreciate the help!

I have just few CAD links in the project but in the view templates there are a lot of multiplied links with the same name... I'm sure that noone have loaded them in. And this happened for the second time.

Last time in order to get rid of the links I had to use Dynamo to find all the links and delete at once. Unfortunately couldn't figure out how to select the links which I wanted to to delete, so I had delete everything.

Do you have any ideas why this happens and how to deal with it?

Thanks in advance for the help !

when u Link CAD Files you can control them from manage links > CAD formats, but this problem happen when u import them and this way impact the RVT file

thanks for the info, but I know this and always make sure all the links are linked and not imported. And another thing - these links are not touched by anyone in the team as I linked them at the beginning of the project and the only thing that was changed is the graphic representation

Yo, having/had the same issue. Very old thread but seems to be the only one so posting what I'm experiencing. Maybe someone can validate. Looks like one of two things. 🤷‍

  1.  https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/There-are-duplica...😵
  2. Appears as multiple links in a view template. The (2) I think is referring to it being a second type, i.e. I have 3 copies (instances) in 3 views but two are plan (same type) and 1 in section "type (2)". 🤯
