Good morning Revit forums, hope everyone is having a good day!
Like most firms, our firm is working on a master file to copy details form to help make the Construction Drawing process faster and more uniform.
This process requires to projects to open at once, one to copy from and one to paste into.
Is there a way to have two Revit's open so the tabs for each project do not mix?
or
Is there a way to give tab's colors that distinguish "project 1's tabs" from "project 2's tabs"?
Additionally having a space to sperate open projects tabs from another could be another solution.
The purpose of keeping the tab separate would be to give myself peace of mind when closing my projects. I typically do not want to save changes to the master file if I am just stealing details for a new project but I always lose tract of project because the project/view tabs are all identical.
For example: I start my day on a new project, I have the master file and the new project open, I taking legends and details from the master file and into the new file, once completed I attempt to the master file completely but one tab is open. I reach the end of my day, go to save and close project and I receive a warning; "do you want to save the changes to master file?" Darn, have I made changes that I want to save or not, I though I closed it all when I was done.
