Cabinet family disappears when placing a sink into it

I am placing an undermount, face-based sink into a base cabinet family. The cabinet disappears only in plan once I place it. It looks perfectly fine as an axon, section, etc. I am attaching before and after photos of placing the sink. You'll see in plan that once the sink is placed, the sink is still visible but all that remains of the cabinet is a random dashed line. Any ideas?

Maybe the extents of the void.  Dunno for sure. Post the Project and we'll tell you what's going on.
