Bug in properties browser

I recently started using Revit 2023 and I noticed that the properties browser doesn't really behave the way I would expect it to, see the screenshots. I think this is a bug, anyway it's really annoying, I hope this can be fixed soon!

When you select an element the properties browser doesn't show what family and type that element is.

But when you expand the dropdown menu it does show what family and type that element is.

I didn't really know what would be the best place to discuss this, so if it doesn't belong here feel free to move it.

This is a known issue for some users - see Autodesk response at https://www.revitforum.org/forum/revit-architecture-forum-rac/architecture-and-general-revit-questio...

Basically if you are experiencing this behaviour then "please go to File > Options > User Interface and un-check the checkbox for "Use hardware graphics acceleration if available" in the Visual Experience section. This will NOT turn off the regular Hardware Acceleration that absolutely speeds up your Revit workflow."

Options> User Interface> uncheck Use Hardware graphics... box.

So..... mine was NOT checked and having the same issue.  Fresh install of Revit 2023 on a laptop that is 4 months old, and on a desktop that is 5 years old.  Checked, restarted, same issue.  Unchecked again, restarted, same issue.  😕

Are you sure you uncheck the box under User Interface options, NOT Hardware options?

Yep.   Hardware setup acceleration box has stayed checked, only changed the Visual Experience hardware acceleration box.

For what it's worth, running an RTX3070 on the laptop, and Intel UHD Graphics 360 on the desktop.

For now, you can add Type Properties to the Ribbon and/or Quick Access toolbar.  It displays correctly for me there.
