brick texture not showing up

hello for some reason the brick texture has gone from my walls it was there and then i started altering the wall orientation and then its all gone. If i draw new brick wall in it has the texture but my existing walls dont show it regardless of view..

it wont even let me apply a material to these walls....

Are these walls created under Existing or New construction phase?

you got it again mate so when i change to a different phase it shows other phase as grey?

It is set under Manage/Phases. Elements in Previous phase are set to
Overridden with a different graphic including material. If you want
everything shows with their original graphic then change the View's phase
filter to Show Complete, and make sure Show Complete in Phase settings have
New and Previous = By Category, Demolished and Temporary= Hidden.
