I am attempting to create a brick lintel i have tried doing it using the split face tool way but i cant seem to get it to offset from the wall leading to graphical issues (see below) I am wondering if this is the best way or should i be searching for a actual lintel family part? what is best practice? Capture.PNG

I would either build it in the window family as a nested generic model, or
just a standalone face based or wall based family. Quicker than split face
if you have more than a couple of windows.

A generic model is fine. If it occurs above every or a majority of windows then I would nest a wall base generic family in the window family.
