Blank Problem of Topography when split

Because topography in revit has no thickness when I split the topography in order to make green areas blanks appears between topography and splitted topography.How can ı solve the problem.I am adding caps .thank you.

• maybe a combination of Split Surface with Building Pad as in my example...

First, I've made a detail drawing to be a base to snap to line, then I've made a Split Surface and , at last, a building Pad ....

• Another solution , maybe a better one could be to use Graded Region...I am not sure that vertical planes are possible by this method....
