Blank bar between ribbon and views in Revit 2019

There is a blank bar between the ribbon and view tabs that does not appear to have any function. With a right click, the bar can be docked at the top or bottom. Is there any way to remove this bar which is wasting valuable screen space?

Are you talking about the space that's available for the Options Bar? That's pretty valuable real estate.

My bad... I did not realize that was the options bar. It is a blank bar until you select a command with conditions. And yes, it is very valuable real estate!
