Bind liked models

Hello,

Could anyone from Autodesk please bind the two models: "Chapel" and "Classroom_Hall" into the site model "Campus" and save back as one file with no links?

All 3 files are attached. The Campus file has some models elements as well, not just links, so it makes sense to bind the other two into it.

Once done, it would also be nice to have a step by step how-to of the process, so that we can turn this thread into a teaching moment as well.

I am getting all sort of errors that are preventing this banal operation between simply models from happening.

Now I have a client that wants a campus model without links, which I cannot provide.

Thank you

@gsucci

If you do not want to go through the whole hassle give them IFCs

However, if you want to stick with binding, I would try to make the process less complex and take it one link/bind at a time. So if I were you, and without a manual, I would...

  1. Link in the Classrooms into the Site align and bind
  2. Purge clean check and save as new
  3. Open the Chapel and Link IN the new model from 2
  4. Aline and bind

Yes you will get some errors like the following but that is normal...You have a model with 20-30k of elements you cant expect all to line up.

  • Certain constraints were not met
  • Walls got detached
  • Inconsistent groups or duplicate groups
  • Some curtain wall errors
  • Some dimensions

PS: This is a user forum...if you want to address Autodesk, open a support ticket. Would be faster than having the topic here escalated and/or noticed by  Autodesk team
