I have linked IFC files in ta Revit file and are now wondering if I can tie/bind these IFC files so I don't need the external/linked files? This to distribute one single file.

Dear Mikael,
You can't link the IFC file and "tie/bind" the IFC to the Revit file.
But it is possible to open your Revit project and import the IFC, but it won't have the same features as when the IFC is linked.
To do this:
- Open your Revit project.
- Go to the (R)evit button at the top left corner.
- 'Open'
- 'IFC'
- And here select the IFC file. Now the IFC file won't be linked, but will be imported in a template. Since this is now a Revit file, you can import it into your main Revit project.
I hope this is the answer to your questions.

I had the same question and I believe this is really helpful, however, is not perfectly described.
There is no such thing as a "Revit Import" option, instead of importing the file I had to open it, copy-paste it into my project. And problem solved!
Thank you very much anyway!
