Best way to put this carpet pattern in the Revit model?

Hey Guys

I have found a really awesome carpet website that lets you make your own carpet patterns. I can get an image from there website to use in revit.

What is the best way to apply the image in revit the best way possible? There are hex patterns in there so how can i apply the pattern to an entire floor without stretching the hex patterns out to a greater radius? I use Lumion for rendering but im assuming Lumion will be no good because you cant change a photo image in lumion?

What is the best way forward to apply this pattern to my model as realistically as possible?

See image attached

You have to make the image tileable/seamless. Have a look on the internet looking sor seamless textures or tileable images. There are tutorials out there for photoshop, gimp and so on to create such things. Then you can use the the image and tile the it on your floor.

No, not needed, you could do this with many graphics software. I already mentioned Gimp. This is a free open source package.

Then you can look for something like gimp seamless textures tutorial to see how you can do this with gimp.

Sorry where is this stuff you are talking about?

Is it in Revit or are you describing a folder in my hard drive?

Save your custom images in an accessible folder on your computer.  Then, go back to Revit, click on the File drop-down menu to add that folder to the list of paths using the steps described in my previous reply.
