I have a steel beam family SQ 120 square section (120X120).

Inside this family I have added as an extrusion a plate 15 mm in the perimeter.

My problem is that when I load the family I can not see the plate, only the beam. Could be because this beams are connected?

No it would not hide because they are joined it should give an error or warning otherwise with the join?

Really I would model them separately unless this will be fabricated this way
