Batch Rename Views

Hello,

Looking for a way to batch rename views, by replacing terms, or add prefix/sufix. There is an add-in from BIM soft Solutions that does exactly this but I can't get it to install. I've reached out to support, but with no reply.

https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=1299788089247576718&appLang=en&os=Win64

I know you can do this in Dynamo but I'm still unfamiliar with this so I would prefer an add-in.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

And why can't you get it installed?

BTW - there are more apps. This one seems more capable: Magic Rename Tool | Revit | Autodesk App Store

Hi, thank you for your prompt reply.

I don't know why it doesn't install. The installation does run, but there is no add-in tab or app button.

Looking now at the suggested app. Many thanks! 🙂

Hi,

Well, this add-in also didn't install which leaves me to suspect it's a different issue...

Which Revit version are you using?

2025.3, and that is probably the reason why these add-ins are not showing up in the ribbon.

The first addin you mentioned is only supported up to R2024.

Revit 2025 is a big update in API sense, so I think a lot of addins will take some time to have R2025 support.

Hi @ToanDN, true! I use DiRoots One for parameter management and never actually looked into the other tabs... Waiting for my licence  no. to be delivered.

pyRevit is a no go. I get an error on uploading. Will try to fix in the future.

For the record, I also found https://nonica.io/  which appears to also to the job.
