Avoid suppression of a view by mistake

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way of preventing someone else to delete a specific view by mistake at the project browser in Revit. Is there a way of locking or pining a view at the project browser?

I appreciate your attention!

You can pin the view onto a sheet, but if you delete it in the Project Browser, that won't help. So TBMOK - I don't think it's possible.

Open Worksets, Views and see if you can lock it like with user worksets.

Hello Rina,

Thank you for your answer. However, I need a solution to prevent someone else deleting (by mistake) a specific view at the project browser not in a sheet.

Are you sure?  If I make a view Editable under my name then other users cannot delete it until I choose to Relinquish it.

I think this will work. Make a change to the view to a local file with a Revit session logged in with a user name you make just for locking. Then close/sync the local file making sure to NOT check in borrowed elements. Now the view will remain locked. un-alterable/un-delete able except when someone logs back in with the user name who has it checked out.

its not really revit-y and it seems tricky otherwise...... why not just include in the view title some text like........ 'view title - DO NOT DELETE'
