Autodesk Raytracer High Setting Noise

I am gettin a ton of noise only on the high setting, of course it's the one I want to use! I'm using Intel Core I7, 32 gb of RAM, NVIDIA Quadro 4000, Windows 10. I know there are driver support issues but just wondering if anyone has any tips. It's an interior shot with a skylight, lots of lights. I've tried using different lights, tested different models, all the same results. The best and medium settings work fine. I dig the quality of the new ray tracer.

this might help....

    • There are four Render Quality settings in the rendering service, each with a different balance of three rendering quality variables: Eye rays, reflection samples, and lighting accuracy.
  Quality Variables
Setting Eye Rays Reflection Samples Lighting Accuracy When to Use Speed
Draft 0.25 1 Low* Optimized for speed. Perfect for a quick preview of your scene. 1x
Standard 4.0 1 Low More accurate than Draft. Perfect for quick visualization during design. 4x
High 16 8 Med Greater detail than Standard. Perfect for high fidelity presentation work. 10x
Best 32 16 High Lower noise and broader tonal range than High. Perfect for archival rendering, when speed is not a priority. 20x

Also...

I have seen noisy or grainy renderings sometimes. What is the best way to get best quality renderings?

This might happen if there is inadequate lighting in your scene, such as indirect light coming from a window. If the scene is well illuminated, you will not see this problem. Add more lights to your scene or increase the intensity of the existing lights.

Appreciate Your Response, Thanks!

Both models I tested do have outside light coming in, but it's light that I need to include in the view.  Regarding lighting, I'm pretty sure both scenes were lit well but I will try increasing intensity to see if that helps.

Thanks,

Jacques

Have you tried using the rendering features within A360 online?  Maybe it might help.

Well...  That was going to be my next question.  I can make a new post for that, I'm not sure where to do it though.  I uploaded through Revit from the Ribbon and the rendering of course came out awesome in quality but had trouble illuminating globes of the lights themselves.  They seem to be casting light with the correct temperature (the room is well lit and not dark) but they have no glow where the bulb is.  When I render inside revit with either engine (graphics or AD Raytracer) it renders the lights out fine.

Any suggestions?

if you rendered in the cloud, you can download the rendering image and then use post-processing software like Photoshop to alter your image.  Granular control of lighting within cloud rendering is not available yet.
