Autodesk Answer Day: Revit Landscape

Hi,

Is there a timeline for releasing a Revit version for Landscape Architecture? On large projects we are expected by clients and customers to complete our work using Revit but the tools available are designed more for buildings rather than the site. It is difficult to quickly and efficiently grade hard surfaces, layout masses of vegetation, interact toposurfaces with roads / walkways etc. There are other products available such as Autodesk Civil but they lack even more of the tools needed to complete a project as needed.

Thanks,

P

Thanks for the quick reply.

Site Designer helps somewhat but its just a small step in the right direction. Is there a timeline for a full set of tools to be released for Landscape Architects and firms who work primarily with the site?

I do not know when Autodesk will make this happen but I do know it is a long-standing request on their Revit wishlist.

If you haven't already, I would check out our new IdeaStation for Revit where there are a few ideas regarding landscape tools. You can either vote for those, or post a new for others to vote on.

This feedback goes back to our devlopment group and gives them a better idea of features to look at in the future.
