Hi, I can't attach the wall to the roof and it keeps popping up the "Can't keep the wall and roof joined" message.  I have attached the Revit file as well.So appreciate any help.

if you split the wall at the intersections of the flat roof, you should be able to attach that wall portion to the flat roof. You can then join the split walls to remove split lines.

It worked, but after that, I can't join them.

I would prefer in this case to use a single roof ....so , there is no problem to attach the wall to the roof..

I was able to copy and attach the wall to the other side of the roof

It's the cut out in the roof that's creating the problem. Try to attach the wall first, then make the cut out in the roof.

You could use locally, in an Elevation View : Mode > Edit Profile for the wall...

If you can lower the flat roofs so that the flat roof, the sloped roof, and the wall intersect at a single point like the section below then you can attached the walls to the roofs without any errors.  That is the highest point of the flat roof before it gives you the error, anything lower than that works too.

Sorry, but I think I’d differ with all your approaches. I’d be looking at using the dormer roof tool for this, and instead of balloon framing the wall underneath the flat roof; I’d place another wall (with returns) atop it.  I think this process would be closer to the as-built condition, and Revit could do it “seamlessly”. Just a thought. Smiley Wink

...here's a quickie. Looks different because mine shows returns. Gonna need to have those to keep out the flys. Ha!
