Associating Rooms with Hatches

I need to add a property to a room and associate a hatch to that property. In other words, I need to associate a hatch to a room so that when the boundaries of the room change, the boundaries of the hatching changes automatically with it. Any solutions I've found online say to check "Room Bounding" under Constraints in Properties, but this constraint does not show up for me. What is the best way to go about this?

How about applying the hatch through the Color Scheme in which the Fill Color/Pattern is determined by a Area Range?

Awesome thank you! Do you know why the Color Scheme option under Graphics in Properties would be grayed out? I need to be able to click on this to apply the hatches.

It's probably controlled via a View Template.

FWIW, there's the backdoor to Color Schemes on the Architecture Tab:

Follow-up question: Is there a reason why the rooms that are set to colors have colors show up but the rooms set to hatches don't have anything show up?

Make the color darker. Also check the View Scale.

Hello again. Is there a way to add a property to a room so that under the Properties window you can select which hatch you want for that room? The color scheme method certainly works, I'd just like to be able to make a property for this, if that's possible.

You could add a Project Parameter to Room Category and define the Color Scheme by this Project Parameter Value.  

However, there are plenty of built-in Parameters under the Room Properties that could be used for this.

The only room properties that show up when I'm in the room (when the room tag is clicked and the boundaries become highlighted) are under Graphics:

Leader Line

Orientation

Angle

and Identity Data:

Workset

There is also no option to add a parameter under Project Parameters (There is no "Add" option)
