Assigning Curtain walls to extrusion

Hi, i have made an extrusion but i want to assign curtain wall material to it but i can't find the option anywhere, it allows me assign glass as a material but not the curtain wall itself. when i apply Glass material, it doesnt allow to add curtain grids and others. i'm trying to make an aluminum cladding out of the curtain wall and the grids but it's not working cause it's an extrusion not a mass, is there a way around without having to start over... Thank you

Yes you can create Curtain System by face and pick the surfaces of the extrusion.

Ohhh, i see my mistake, i didn't select generic model when in the model in place option, i just tapped okay twice and made the extrusion. that's probably why it's not working. Thank you for this.
