Assembly views

Is there a way to view elements that aren't in an assembly in an assembly view?

I have created assemblies for each of my wall framing panels and I would like to show the windows/doors so that I can tag them.

Why not use a regular view?.. Assembly views aren't really meant for something other then the assembly itself I suppose, for shop drawings ie.

That defeats the point of using Assembly views. Either add those doors and windows to the assembly or use regular views isolating the wall framing, doors, and windows.
