I am using Revit 2019 right now, full version. Our firm has different area calculations we need for different municipalities. Sometimes we calculate from face of sheathing (substrate), sometimes from face of core, sometimes face of finish, and for interiors sometimes we do a centerline between units (hotels and apartments). We end up revising projects frequently, and as it stands, a lot of our area boundaries were just drawn manually, resulting in a long manual process of re-aligning all of those lines. Anyone have a method for keeping those area lines accurate through revisions, no matter what face we have had to calculate from? Can I create area boundary rule types? That would be ideal, as it would make drawing the initial area boundaries much faster.
