If you're not using one of the ones provided by Autodesk, this is generally something you or your firm develops on your own.

We just started using Revit and was looking at different options other than Autodesk provides.

Those tend to be carefully developed by individual firms and not disseminated on request. You might encounter templates via shared resources on projects, but I doubt you'll find a cohesive one out in the wild.

Try the Snowdon towers project in the Revit sample projects as a starting point. If you have good relationships with your competitors, perhaps tap them as a resource. 'A rising tide lifts all ships', or something like that.

A template really is very specific to your company's workflow and will develop as you build up that workflow. Like your personal car seat adjustment works for you, but not for me.

The oob templates are just examples. They are equally a good starting point for YOU as any of OURS.

Revit Version: R2026.5
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec

As has been mentioned, templates are closely tied to your company's standards (text style & size; lineweights; line patterns; view titles, etc.).  This is a good reference for someone embarking on their first template: https://www.revitforum.org/forum/revit-all-flavors/tutorials-tips-tricks/1084-building-a-revit-templ....  If nothing else, it will give you an idea of what's involved in developing a template.

If your company is willing to accept standards developed by someone else & pay for them, these might be worth looking into: https://www.parallaxteam.com/parallax-revit-templates/ . Ultimately they're paying for the template anyway, whether it's your time or an outside company.
