Apply materials to imported IFC

Hi!
Anyone have a solution to apply materials to Different parts of the IFC file? Im applying materials to a kitchen and wardrobe solution designed in Winner by Compusoft. Some of the elemets are applicable to materials after they are exploded. On the other hand, some of the components will be deleted after exploded.

Therefore, I wondered if there are any other solution to apply materials to an IFC fil without exploding it.

Thank you for your help.

Override Graphics in View by Element or by Category or by Filter not working for you?

It depends on how they modeled components before creating the IFC.  Can you share an example IFC?

I`m not sure if I do it correctly, but does not seem like it. I tried alternative threads in that way but does not seem to do the trick..

I need it to be compatible with enscape rendering. And if im correct overriding graphics by element, category or filter does not actually apply any materials.

Edit IFC Element, Explode and assign a Project Material to the element's Material Property.

NOTE: You can also associate the "Material" Parameter to a Family Types Instance Parameter that is accessible outside of Edit Mode.

As I said in the first post. Some of them can be exploded and applied materials to.
I have already exploded som instances. But if you try to do it on the lower cabinets, they disappear after explosion.

Any work around on them?

Ha! I guess I should have re-read your original post. I didn't know you had already been exploding.  What a waste of time doing those screenshots. Oh well.
