Hi,

Please read the release notes

This readme contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this hotfix. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the hotfix to your licensed copy of Autodesk Revit 2020, either as a standalone product or as part of a product suite, such as Autodesk Building Design Suite 2020, Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite 2020, or Autodesk Plant Design Suite 2020.

After this hotfix is applied successfully, the build number specified on the Help > About dialog will be 20.0.1.2. For reference, you should save this readme to your hard drive or print a copy.

Issues resolved by this hotfix

This hotfix addresses a customer reported issue in which Revit sessions run in Viewer Mode unexpectedly, without displaying the Viewer Mode dialog to warn users that Revit functionality is restricted in this mode. These restrictions include: save or save as in all cases, exporting or publishing modified projects, exporting or publishing any projects to a format containing model data that can be modified, and printing projects after changes are made.

Can you release a hot fix so I can I can see the 'edit assembly' menu?? There's a problem with it disappearing in the 2020 release!

Hi @Anonymous

I would recommend creating a support case through your Autodesk Account, so you can provide a diagnostic data for the  product support for review.  With the files and data your provide we should be able to investigate further.

Meanwhile, please try a repair of Revit and see if it helps resolve your issue.

I found the issue, the edit assembly floating doc must've been opening up of my screen. Possibly a different screen res issue? I don't see why this shouldn't be docked by default, may save others having problems.

@Anonymous  From what you are saying it sounds like you have multiple monitors, may be 4K, 5K?

Its best to create a new post or support case and we can have a dedicated specialist to look at your case with  more details.
