Ambient shadows not working in plan views

Hi,
I have a project where I can't get Ambient Shadows to work in any of my Plan views. They seem to work fine in 3D views but no view template setting lets me see them in Plan. I tried Transferring Project Standards from another file I have open side by side where the view template works fine and it didn't help, even though I know for a fact the view template is correct. Ambient Shadows just don't show up in Plans (neither in Revit nor in prints).

I tried changing view depths and view crops, creating new views and more with no luck.

What can be causing this? Thanks.

Ambient shadows are not available in plan views in Revit; they only work in 3D views and elevations. To achieve a similar effect in plan views, consider using shaded with edges mode
