Aligning multi-level model floor plans best practice

I have some rather large floorplans, one of each level of a main building, that is over a 10 story building. I have all the models in Revit and am wondering what the best practice would be to make sure each level is aligned automatically when linking them together. They have all been made with different  internal origin points, but we are doing renovation work for different projects throughout the main building. So basically with all this being said is it possible to move the internal origin point, or maybe move the building, as I want to be able to link the models and have them line up without having to move them around each time as they are not small models. Any suggestions or best practice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You use shared coordinates...You link then use Publish to Link or Acquire from link and save/sync to reconcile to the shared site

Great, thanks! Does this mean that if I need to copy and paste a level from one model to another if our scope of work is on both levels for instance. Would it align to the selected level or be pasted properly without needed to align manually? This is also a key aspect I forgot to mention that is pretty crucial..

I am not sure I understood you right on that last query you made

1. If by Level you mean a Level Datum...you can use Copy Monitor
2. If by Level you mean you want to copy the entire building story, you can 
   • Either treat the building story as a Link and simply link an instance of that story into another (You can use Bind Link if having both in one makes things more convenient for you
   • Or Load a floor plate into another model as a group

Hmmm... let me see if I can rephrase and I will do more research for the commands you've provided.. So I have moved this base point and I want to just be able to copy and paste (as well as link, but less important) to and from different levels as easily as possible without slowing things down and aligning every time. So I think I would be trying to load in a floor plate of a model like you've stated above. I've currently picked an elevator shaft that runs through every level to align, but not sure exactly how to make this work. If you've already mentioned the fix above just let me know and I can reference that. Sorry for the confusion haha!
