Adjusting shadows in section cut to view the light coming only through windows

Hello,

I need to do a sun study inside a room and show it in section cut but every way I tried the sunlight shines inside the building through the cut out part so I need some way to view it as the part behind the section plane was still there and only sun in the room was coming through window glass. I have searched in settings for hours and tried to see the problem online but still haven't found anything useful. Please let me know if there is some way to adjust it.

Thank you for any suggestions

Place a camera under the ceiling looking down.

in 3D view you can you can move the mouse over "Context Menu" :

in "Orient to View" you can select all your view, section elevation en etc.

and now you can use the shadow like the 3d view.

  • Move Camera outside the Room
  • Hide the wall and the objects between the camera and the area you want to show in your View
  • create a blind Room (walls and floors so to let no gap for any exterior light (pay attention at the join area of the wall that you hide )
