Hello,

I have a question. When i duplicate material in material browser i change image to it. But it also changes the duplicated file. And when i try to add for example wall with that material and other wall with duplicated material, it stays with the same image. (img. 3)
What am i doing wrong? I change all the information about material and isometric parameters..

look in the attachment. (this time i made horizontal and vertical image) (img. 1-2)

Take a look at the attached-- the two buttons on top right--

Replaces Asset or Duplicates Asset.

To avoid the problem with the render appearance being used in multiple materials,

Instead of duplicating an existing material, try creating a new material and assigning the render appearance.

Hi guys, I have another problem with custom materials. I tried to create new materials by applying an image outside of the libraries. So it is more like an appearance on the surface more than a real material. I saved the image in my hard drive, the same location with the project/families/mass that I tried to apply the materials on. However, whenever I try to open it from another computer, the material or the appearance doesn't show. I kind of know that is because it cannot locate the image. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks,

Tu Anh

Save the images in a shared folder accessible by all users, then add the folder to Options > Rendering > Additional Render Appearance Paths.
