Adding nodes to a curved surface to apply a adaptive components to?

Hi,

I am trying to create a complex standing seam curved roof which curved along the section and in plan.  For this reason the change in direction can only be achieved using 3 point linear adaptive adaptive component.  The problem I face is that where the divided surface interfaces with a corner it does not place a node so the pattern stops at this point.  Please see the screenshots attached to better understand.

Thanks

1. those pattern is following the surface, and surface is not allowing to complete the panel..

2. your best bet would be to create a surface to get the complete panel, and later

you cut geometry from the surface ....
