Adding a door to a window schedule

My company is primarily a residential design company, and much more often than not, both the windows and exterior patio doors are made by the same manufacturer, and therefore, it would make sense to put the patio doors in the window schedule.  But there doesn't appear to be a way to populate the window schedule with a door in Revit.  I would even settle for being able to insert a data row into my window schedule and add the door info manually, but that option is greyed out.

Surely, someone has encountered this issue before me... any suggestions?  TIA

Hi @chrisR3P9C

Thank you for the question.  From what I have found, there are two possible solutions:  https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-mep-forum/multiple-categories-in-one-schedule/td-p/8649067

I would try with this one first, because it is using Multi-Category Schedules.

This one will be much more complicated and will have you working in Dynamo:  https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/schedules-combining-different-categories/td-...

Neither of those two links directly discuss doors and windows, but the ideas can be applied to what you are asking.  I hope this helps.

Just edit the exterior door family and change its category to Windows.
