Add Door Material to Schedule

When reviewing door schedule examples and tutorials I see Door Type and Material listed on door schedule, but when I click on a door I only see parameters for Frame Type and Material in the Properties window. How can I add parameters for Door Type and Material so I can add these to my door schedules?

Hi there.

Select your door and check the button Edit Type. When you`re there, you`re at the type properties window. You will see the door and frame materials.

That door family you are using is a standard family of Revit. To schedule correctly your door materials, you would have to:

- change the family single flush (by clicking at the button Edit family); or

- make another door family applying the informations and parameters as you like.

Observe that the parameters Door material and Frame material are not listed at the Schedule list of possible parameters. This happens because that two parameters created at the family are not standard parameters for Revit, so the Schedule system is not prepared to read them. But, one solution is using shared parameters.
