Add curtain wall doors to doors schedule

I have a door schedule and I want to add a door which is in a curtain wall to the schedule, because curtain wall doors are made from curtain wall panels, I had to use a curtain wall annotation tag in order to tag it. this means that it doesn't show up in my door schedule. is there a work around this?

Curtain Wall Doors can be tagged with a normal Door Tag and will show up on Schedule.

I know it can be done but I just done it with a standard OOTB Template so as to not use my Template and it does work. Just add the mark value like you would in any Door and Tag Door normally.

Make sure the curtainwall door is in the Door Category. Select the curtainwall door, then Edit Family.

Under Family Categories & Parameters, choose Door. It should now appear in the Door Schedule.

Hello 

I am working on a door schedule for two projects. I am finding that some of the curtain wall door panels are scheduling and others are not. My work around has been to replace the curtain wall panel with a wall then using a standard door in its place. For me that's not a good answer. I did edit the family and set the curtain walls to the door family but with no success in adding them to the door schedule. I suspect that there is something more to it.

Hi @joekozelka,

check to see if your doors appear in the project browser under Families - Doors.

Maybe you have a filter applied to your schedule that ignores specific doors?

I will check that the curtain wall door panels are listed under doors. I did make the schedule from scratch. so, I know what is in it. I was thinking along the lines of a multiple category schedule as a solution.

This could be an issue with the doors reporting on a different level in the CW system, which is a known issue. Make sure your door schedule has everything turned on without any filters, and check if the door exists on a different level.

If so, then follow these steps to fix (I found this on a forum but can't remember the link. I had it copied onto a document for work):

1.       Open Door Schedule and navigate to problem door.

2.       Highlight the Door by selecting anywhere on the line.

3.       Select Delete Row.

4.       Replace with panel when prompted.

5.       Open 3D view, select replaced panel, and then replace the panel with the same door that was used.

its embarrassing to say, but I was putting DG as opposed to GD in the mark, then filtering to GD. I did take the time to start to create a multiple category schedule. I did not have the time to make a full schedule but it is an option to schedule different categories.

Glad you got it fixed. Yes, filters always cause issues with the schedules and the model views. I would always have a master schedule for things like doors without any filters applied. This allows you to check every single element in the project.
