Adaptive Component flips upon placement of third point

Hello,

I'm trying to model some GLT beams as adaptive components to follow the curve of a divided surface but the adaptive components keep flipping when the third point is placed; if I only place the first two points and press ESC then it appears as intended (but does not follow the curve).

2point.PNG

^correct alignment

The adaptive component has two nested profiles within it to create the dual GLT beams

I have some curved beams that I managed to get to work by clicking ALWAYS VERTICAL but this curved section isn't working with that because of its radius.

Any help appreciated, king regards,

-D

Sounds like you want the APs to Orient To the Global (z) and then Host (xy).

Hi, thanks for the reply,

I've tried changing the AP orientation settings to no avail; anything other than Instance and Revit throws an error and deletes the type.

Cheers,

Are you attaching this to a Divided Surface.  If so, trying building it into a Pattern-Based Curtain Panel and attaching it to the Divided Surface that way.

Can to post a picture of what you are building?
