Hi everyone
I have a big problem with an adaptive componenet. When I repeat it on surface, some moduls are flip and in their intersection, they intersect to eachother.
I send two file of my component.

sometimes we need to change form of adaptive.if we have more AP, it is easier to change it. like the link bellow
I haven't had a chance to look closely at your model, but I noticed this:
Not sure which part doesn't work, though. Could that be the alignment issue?
Hi @Anonymous
Apologies no access to revit atm to check ur model but I can for sure say that adaptive components' behavior has been slightly modified over the various updates introduced to version 2016 onwards. So counting on an old cast to produce an element may (most likely) not result the desired result 100%.

hi @Anonymous,
Very very intrigued by your problem, I have been working on it....
So far nothing constructive.
But once again, Dynamo would solve your problem.
But, being a rationnalist, I would like to know what you want to achieve?
I really do not get why you a going through such a complicated problem when integrated tools (such as parts) might solve it easily?
Adaptative components will make the thickness junction very difficult...

Thanks man for your attempt to solve my problem.I only want to have an adaptive surface. But now I undestand sometimes something don't work for ever.I should use another method.
One more question:How can I use parts to solve it?
Hey @FGPerraudin
Can you please elaborate on the part "Dynamo would solve your problem"...?

Well, dynamo allows you to place adaptative components point by point as well, but you have a much betterr control over their numbering for example,
So I guess that you can make it much more stable,
So you have better chances of avoiding the issue!
You can generate solids by normal extrusion as well, which means that there would be no interface issue either!

Hey @FGPerraudin
thanks for the reply... 🙂
well unless the script is to place each component on 9 nodes consecutively it wouldn't help much. It is similar procedure to placing 1 element the using repeaters and once done select and remove repeaters to flip the offending one.
if he is working with adaptive reactor point(s) Dynamo won't help because the repeaters would be required.
The he problem is with the behavior or the adaptive component. The same element he has (9 points) worked fine till sometime when an update was introduced to 2016 (not sure which). Seems to be a bug with the placement of repeaters (need to try it on 2017)

I don't know how this posting has "solution" marked. Problem still persists in 2019 and Dynamo does the same flipping as the repeater....
