Hello
I need a reference point 4 which
(1) align (locked) on X plane on adaptive point 3,
meawhile
(2) on Y, Z plane align (locked) with adaptive point 1, so when point 1 go down, point 4 move down also
How can I do ?
please find rfa file
thanks

Dang, @heichan88, it's hard to visualize what you are describing you want to do, but the way I read it now, AP Orientation would have nothing to do with this. You're trying to do something within the Family itself if I'm re-reading you correctly.
You don't by any chance have a photograph of what you are trying to build? If so, could you post it? It would help.
hello @barthbradley
i put a series of joist on a curved surface, by adaptive point 1, 2, 3
But poinr 4 cannot rotate along with point 1,2
I want to achieve the blue color effect: point 4 rotate around point 3 , according to point 1-2,
Thanks
now my way is a bit complicated:
(1) make adaptive family A with model lines, then
(2) host to a mass family B, inset ad family lines A by line on each location of each future joist
(3) create form C along these ad family lines B
(4) create a pattern base joist D
(5) array repeater this joist D on the form C
---on the way, so far working on straight part... now trying curving part
You don't need point 4 to twist the joist. If you create the joist with 3 adaptive points hoisted on the curved surface then the should twist itself to follow the surface.
hello @ToanDN
I had tried 3 ap adaptive family for long time ago, but the 4th poinr (rp) cannot (1) revolve follow ap 1 meanwhile (2) align on Y plane with AP 3,
if point 4 can be revolved following AP 1, then can be very flexible, (repeater, pattern or directly insert) all works, but till now i can not achieve this
Could you give a illustration ?
