Hi, when I go to create a beam system, I don't get 3d constraints as an option. Can someone tell me why this is?

Beam SYSTEMS don't have "3D Snapping".  That's a Beam Option.  One edge at a time.  If you are trying to snap multiple "Beams" to a 3D Form, you might look into Divided Surfaces with Pattern-Based Curtain Panels.
