2x2 ACT with 4" center and 4"x4' lights

In the image attached, I've made 3 ceiling grids to come up with a 2x2 ACT ceiling system with a 4" middle.  We will have 4"X4' light fixtures down the middle.  Is there a way to create a ceiling system so I don't have to draw 3 separate grids?

I also need to do a 2x4 ACT in a large room that is 40'x40' and the ceiling needs to have 3 rows of 1x4 ACT to accommodate 1'x4' light fixtures.

Any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like you want to use a different Model Surface Pattern. No?

You can either split the ceiling surface right in the middle of the 4", paint a half with the same ceiling tile material, then move or align the tile pattern to create the 4" stripe.  This approach give you the flexibility to change the width of the narrow stripe more easily.

If the pattern can repeat predictably then create the pattern using pattycake.io or pyRevit add-in.

I hope you are 100% sure the lighting design is already optimized and you know the fixture location 100%. Nothing more flexible, easier and more economical than standard 2x2 ceiling and 2x2 fixtures... 

I only had that situation on one project where the existing 2x2 ceiling had a 1' wide strip for some reason. Had nothing to do with light fixtures. I ended up creating 2 ceilings next to each other and move the gridlines to match the existing. That was for 5 rooms only and wasn't worth it to me to come up with something more sophisticated.
