2017 Revit Material Library Issue

I have recently installed 2017 Revit and I can seemingly do everything Revit is capable of except for using the material library. Whether I am changing the material of a wall, trying to "Paint" a material, etc., when I go to opening the material library, it crashes Revit or even my entire computer at times.

 

I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums include, but not limited to, a complete uninstall and re-install, turning off the "use hardware accelerations", add a new path to the contents, video driver update, etc. None of them have worked to this point.

 

Does anyone have a solution that actually works?

I tried it and this doesn't work either. My computer hasn't crashed since doing it, but it still crashes Revit.

 

Any other ideas?

You could also try a clean install of the Revit version on the user's machine.
