I recently created a door family with jambs and in a plan view the wall layers do not wrap even though the wrapping layer is checked. there is something I did or didnt do when building the family and I can figure it out.
I am attaching a revit file that has the door family with jambs and an OOTB door that does have the wall wrap at inserts.

Does the Wall Type have Cuts at Inserts checked?
Select the door family. Edit type. Change "Wall Closure" parameter from "By Host" to "Both"
That will give you the same situation as the OOTB family.
If you want to take it further than this, it's possible to set reference planes to control where the wrapping stops. There are other posts in here that address this issue.
thanks,
apparently I didnt have the "wrapping at inserts" checked when I thought it was. sorry for wasting everyones time.
is there a way to get a to wrap past a structure material at an insert?
