The thicker wall will not wrap in this situation because where the two walls contact each other is neither an insert nor the end of the wall by Revit's definitions, and those are the two circumstances in which wall wrapping occurs. It may seem like an end, but an intersection of walls is distinct from an end because of Revit's narrow definition of a wall end: a wall end is a horizontal termination point where no other walls intersect the subject wall. As such, the simplest and most direct approach is to add a separate wall type there which is comprised solely of the finish layer. I understand this is a nuisance, especially with many similar instances of this situation, but the wall wrapping feature will not work here.
