When I create a callout it is created as a differnte family type, for instance as a plan or a section

Every time I create a Callout it automatically is created as a plan system family when it should be created as a detail.

So I need to manually chose inside the properties menu the correct system family.

So the next time I need to create a new callout it is created correctly.

But, when I need to create a section, it stays as it was a Callout.

So I need to manually change the properties and tell Revit it is a Section.

And when I need a callout again, it shows as a section, and go on.

Can anybody help me fix this?

Thanks

Afaict, you are not doing anything programmatically yourself using the Revit API, just using the standard Revit user interface.

In that case, I am afraid this is not the best place to ask such a question.

Please note that this discussion forum is dedicated to programming Revit using the Revit API.

So, you cannot expect an answer to a question such as yours relating to product setup, optimisation, usage or other end user support issues here.

You should try one of the non-API Revit product support discussion forums instead for that:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api-forum/this-forum-is-for-revit-api-programming-questions-not...

The people there are much better equipped to address this topic than us programming nerds.

I hope this clarifies.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Best regards,

Jeremy
