View.SetPointCloudOverrides Method?

There is a View.GetPointCloudOverrides() but no View.GetPointCloudOverrides. So how do we set the PointCloudOverrides for a specific view?

Dear Boostyourbim,

First of all, I assume there is a typo in your question.

You say 'Get' twice.

Seriously, though: can you achieve your goal manually through the user interface?

In general, the Revit API will not enable you to do things that the user interface does not support.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Yes, there was a typo. I meant to write "There is a View.GetPointCloudOverrides() but no View.SetPointCloudOverrides."

Here is a video showing how the view overrides can be achieved through the UI - https://youtu.be/CVEeQN5iHBs

Regards

Harry

Hi Harry,

Thank you for the helpful video.

I passed it on to the development team to see what they have to say.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Dear Harry,

I talked with the development team about this and they agree, so I submitted a new wish list item CF-2688 [API wish: View.SetPointCloudOverrides] about it for for you.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jeremy
