Specification revit gbxml file

Dear all,

for an model, we must import data from a revit gbxml file. To create an import macro or importing tool we need the details and structure from thx gbxml file. Could anyone provide us these information.

The development team reply:

To state the obvious, the structure of the gbXML is the gbXML schema itself. It’s fairly readable on its own.

Revit provides a wide array of variations on how to create and export the gbXML but it’s all fundamentally the same. Currently none of these comply with the latest schema (6.01) but they do comply with the older schema 5.1. Then, there is also the gbXML created by GBS/Insight which has additional data.

Can you please provide more details on what exactly you are trying to achieve?

We can probably provide more direction.
