SnappingService - What it actually does?

Hi

According to title, does anyone have any insight / experience. API Documentation doesn't say much :-(.

Thanks!

Dear Ollikat,

Thank you for your valid query. I asked the development team for more information.

Best regards,

Jeremy

I heard back from the development team:

SnappingService provides snapping points and lines and is used for point clouds.

Hi

Thank you for delivering the information from the dev team.

Although I'm not quite sure am I still able to figure out the use case...but in the other hand, I'm quite incompetent with point clouds.

I was hoping to get some help in situation where I'm using the PickPoint() method and somehow to be able to know the coordinates where it is being snapping. But I guess it's probably not possible...(?)

Maybe the PickObject method will give you what you need? It includes the pick point and other information in the Reference object it returns.
